Louis Vuitton and Riot Games team up for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship

Riot Games have followed in the footpath of leading traditional sports events like the FIFA World Cup and the Rugby World Cup by teaming up with Luis Vuitton for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship.


The iconic French fashion house is creating an exclusive Trophy Travel case to carry the most prestigious prize in esports, the Summoner's Cup, which will be awarded to the League of Legends world champions in Paris on November 10.


Riot Games and Louis Vuitton are also set to announce unique champion skins and a capsule collection designed by Louis Vuitton?s Artistic Director of Women?s collections Nicolas Ghesqui?re, along with other League of Legends digital assets. 


In the past Luis Vuitton have produced trunks to support the FIFA World Cup, the Rugby World Cup, and sailing?s America?s Cup. 
But this will be their first forray into the world of esports.


Riot Games Head of Global Esports Partnerships Naz Aletaha said: ?We are honored to have Louis Vuitton as an official partner with designs to impact the look, feel, and prestige of our most prominent League of Legends event. 


?This is a historic partnership that speaks to the impact Riot Games and League of Legends has had on the industry over the past nine esports seasons. 
"We welcome the LV brand to our sport and we are eager to share the entire scope of the partnership in the months ahead, in particular on November 10 when the Summoner?s Cup is awarded in Paris.?
